1. What is my diamond made from?
You can provide any organic materials such as grass, flowers, leaves, or even sentimental items like pieces of a golf ball, as long as they contain carbon. We will guide you on how to prepare and send them to us.
2. Is it a real diamond & what is the clarity?
Yes, Bienne diamonds are atomically identical to naturally occuring diamonds. Bienne diamonds although grown by humans are in fact 100% real and identical to mined diamonds in chemical composition, hardness, and brilliance. Our aim is to deliver SI-1 or better clarity. The clarity of diamonds is dependent on the carbon source you provide us and this means there can be slight fluctuations in the overall clarity from one customers diamond to another.
3. Are Bienne diamonds truly Swiss Made?
Bienne diamond carbon recovery and growth is done entirely at our facility in Bienne Switzerland via renewable energy. Diamond cutting and polishing is carried out by one of our trusted certified partners. Settings are carried out by our local Swiss partner who specializes in casting conflict free custom jewellery and gold from recycled sources. Ultimately your Bienne diamond and optional setting equates to a socially responisible, environmentally friendly diamond.
4. What happens if I lose my diamond?
We actively archive your carbon created from the material you provide to us for diamond creation. Therefore, should you require a replacement diamond or wish to purchase another diamond in the future we can do so from your personal carbon archive. Retaining a store of your unique carbon source aides in expediting the diamond growth process and deliverying to you a new or replecement diamond as quickly as possible.
